Overview

XPmarket x Space is our most unique collection, manufactured as phygital collectables in the form of cards. It has every single element engineered with the highest precision and the best quality standard. But what is more important is what in the centre... Every XPmarket x Space card is made of a real metallic meteorite that is 4.56 billion years old. Each collectable will be delivered personally to you in unique packaging. But... Enough words... Let's deep dive and explore it in more detail.

Material selection

Material selection was not a random choice... It serves a very important purpose. Both practical and ideological. Firstly, we believe that beyond artistic and purely speculative value, NFTs (or other collectables) should have an intrinsic value, that can be objectively assessed and estimated. Muonionalusta meteorite was a perfect candidate for us. Secondly, a collectable should have a story behind it. Again, what can have be better than a meteorite which travelled though the galaxy and witnessed the Big Bang? It is truly fascinating to even think that you are holding a piece of metal that is 4.56 billion years old and hit the Earth 1 million years ago! Mind-blowing! Finally, we simply followed our heart and passion. Now you can witness the result.

Material

Muonionalusta meteorites are located near the source of the Muonio River above the Arctic Circle in northern Sweden. While numerous recoveries have been made by intrepid meteorite hunters in recent years, it was in 1906 that the first Muonionalusta meteorite was discovered by two children tending cattle near the village of Kitkiöjärvi in northernmost Sweden. While kicking rocks, one of the children struck a heavy object that was brought to the village where they lived — which was later identified as an iron meteorite. Muonionalusta meteorites are typically prosaically shaped as a result of their 1,000,000 year residency in Earth’s northern ice box. Churned by advancing and retreating glaciers, Muonionalusta meteorites were smoothed by what was, in effect, Earth’s largest rock tumbler. As is evidenced, this did not have an effect on the breathtaking interior matrix of Muonionalusta meteorites. An extended cooling curve of millions of years in a vacuum is required for the two major iron-nickel alloys of the iron meteorite — kamacite and taenite — to crystallise, forming distinctive, angular structures called Widmanstätten pattern.

The collection

XPmarket x Space cards have currently undisclosed unique designs, where no card is the same. While they will not have rarities or tiers, users will be able to grade those themselves according to their liking. We will let the market decide. However, some rarity elements will still be present.

Every card (exactly as one above!) will be engraved (and not only, expect some surprises!) with the artwork of our own development in collaboration with the best artists, highly skilled engineers and other international experts within their field. While we want to keep as much in secret as we can... We are eager to share something! Hence, let us show you our very first prototype on 4x6 cm piece we made almost a year ago! Based on this prototype, we'd like you to use your imagination and predict how the final collectable will look like and compare on the release day.

The last bit we will show you before the release is the packaging... Again, this is a teaser only, as we do not want to ruin the "WOW effect", but we want you to know what to expect! Try to identify the elements on the render and predict how the final collectable will look like and compare on the release day.
